It kinda looks frontal to me now! Pressure guess based on that buoy is 993mb.

Yeah, it's looking less tropical. Center is weakening but still appears to have 40kt-45kt winds north and east of the center. Stronger winds may be in the squalls streaming into SW Florida 150+ miles SE of the center.

Indeed recon is going to make it in well before Andrea makes landfall, recon is very close to Andrea's LLC now.

Still looks to me that it still has a well defined LLC based off of the the buoy's report.

Probably peaked at about 1200 UTC (guessing 55 kt). Radar still shows winds of about 55-60 kt in the remnant eyewall at 12,000 feet...which would typically support a 50 kt intensity.

now that the mega band has moved through, the weather in the tampa bay area is quite nice...breezy and overcast. this was a typical, early season appetizer...what I call a SLOPical storm.

Looks like the recon though that the LLC was further north and east, they head to head straight south in the last few minutes before making the pass.

It probably has to be adjusted, they are flying at 5K feet.
