Nice lightning show at the beach tonight. They were distant, but at night it's a beauty to watch.

I agree with the plotted coordinates of TD 1, clearly seen on radar and surface observations.

Still not centered under the convection but mixing the dry air out and getting there. Wonder what recon will find for pressures?

Unfortunately the aren't taking off until around 11am central time so it will be awhile before we find out.

If the Convection and Consolidation continues to get better this morning Recon might find a 40-50mph TS by the time they get out there later.

The center looks north of NHC's position on my short visible loop. Also, there's a 35kt WNW wind at one of the coastal stations.

Wxman, what do you think we'll see today? I've moved to coastal NC so closely watching this one.

As some as already pointed out, TD 1 is slowly mixing out the mid level dry air and is slowly looking more healthier. I think TD 1 has gotten about as close to the FL East Coast as it will get.

For our fellow Storm2K neighbors up in NC, hope TD 1 will only give you a glancing blow and goes by off to sea later this week as it approaches hurricane status by the time it reaches that latitude.
