You're welcome. It's nice having it free, that way I can really get a lot of input on things when needed. I can talk with people in the Air Force, NOAA, Navy and even the hurricane center, and some of that would probably be less possible if it wasn't free. But I find it cool so many people use it, from meteorologists to media. (And edit: The hurricane hunter's families too. Some have told me their family tracks them at home, which is extra cool.) That's why I made it free. Eventually I am releasing the code, hopefully next year, so other sites can also run it as a backup to mine. (I pay like $6 a month to host my site, so the cost is low.) What I am currently working on is getting the data to be more reliably added to my system in real time. And, getting my experimental live system online by the end of the month for the NASA Global Hawk (the UAV, the big drone) missions which will begin again. My site will process their sonde data. (but not the track)

Thanks. Thankfully the cost is minimal. My host must really like my site. No host I have ever seen lets anyone have a site as demanding as mine for the cost. next closest is at least 4 to 5 times.

This mission had to travel so far just to get to the storm, another plane will be handling the next fix. This plane should be on the way to Honolulu now.

I have to get back to working on my site, so after a little longer I'm out. Someone else can handle the next mission.

If I were your host I would let you run your site for free considering all the special viewers you get (from government agencies and the air force).

I've always thought they might already. Considering my site creates hundreds of thousands of files, and is around 10GB, I think they might. Plus, my site updates every minute at times. Most hosts, only allow something every 15 minutes.
