Earlier today I suggested outlier track of a counter clockwise Loop.
May have just had a w.s.w jog. (real hard to tell)

Winds 75 kt Gusts 89 kts (anenometer in 90m)
If those winds are true then I think Isaac is currently at 85 mph.

I believe thats true. Storm core continues to get better defined. Pressure continues to fall. Storm is not getting any weaker (not in the least). If anything Isaac is strengthening. If this has been posted before then forgive me. Very interesting storm and fits the meaning of his biblical name. Isaac---"he who laughs".

If Isaac really is stationary and/or moving westbound slowly, wouldn't that cause extended rain = levees overflowing or is that not a possibility?

But note it's an oil platform and the anenometer is at 90 meters, which is 300 feet, or 30 stories above sea level. So you'd have to take off about 10% for sea level winds.

Yes, it is.
I can't figure that pic out, looks like the levee on the right but that ship has to be in the miss. river or intercoastal ?

Think Isaac is saying i'm not done yet. Looks like he is trying to close off his eye and trying to intensify once again while drifting west. Any report of latest pressure readings?

Isaac is a HUGE slow mover.. Sometimes Categories don;t really tell the whole story with these storms. We have so much more to learn and understand about mother natures fury... Hang in there folks in the Gulf. We are here now and will be there for you after Isaac...
