Northwest movement has begun, looks like it (MLC anyway) may be moving over Hispaniola soon.
Go look at the RAMSDIS floater. I did not see a NW motion.

Me either...the convection seems to be drifting southwest.

Re: ATL: EMILY - Models
NHC is the outlier, which probably means a E shift at 11pm, j/k.

That 2 blob image reminds me of a Rorshach (?sp) inkblot test LOL By the end of this storm, we'll all be a bit loopy, I'm afraid

What are you arguing with, MIMIC-TPW?
I'm staring at the RAMDIS floater in IR mode, I see upper level clouds, I see no LLC, so what are you tracking?

I think it may just be the convection expanding w/sw...

Man one thing is for sure...Emily is a lady of the night and loves the nightlife. She sleeps during the day and comes alive when the sun goes down. Maybe there is a correlation between the solar activity and tropical development afterall. I think I'm going to need to read up some more on the space weather site.

Based on the latest models, the NHC is very likely to shift the cone back towards the west and I expect the "line" to be very close to the East Coast of Florida maybe not that far east of Palm Beach....very reminiscent of Hurricane David in 1979 with the track.
Yep...except Emily looks to depart for the ocean instead of coming on up through Savannah like David did. Was actually thinking (hoping) south georgia might get some rain from this...but it looks like not.

Re: ATL: EMILY - Models
I don't recall off the top of my head which models, but it seems that pretty early on, there were models showing a curve, then a bend back west. Many talked then about those models possibly seeing a ridge building back in, a la Jeanne I believe. Maybe they were right way back then....

LOL....well, if she loves the nightlife, I'd like to kindly remind her that NY is the city that never sleeps, NOT Miami

Predictions, does the 11pm track landfall in SFL?? I say very slight W adjustment near SFL, still 50 miles offshore.

Me either, if anything it looks to have crept a little SW but certainly not NW. Lots of convection
firing up though and I don't have a warm/fuzzy for the folks in Haiti. This could get really ugly.
