I salute the models!!! Many were wondering why the models were keeping such a weak system in the Gulf, and not forecasting a hurricane like many of us INTIALLY were.

Well, they sure showed us, and gave us a dose of humility, as there's still so much we don't know and understand about the tropics, and
I think Don is proof of that.

That is only because the models were still so stuffed from all the crow that Bret and Cindy sent their way. lol

I'm not sure you can really salute the models for Don either, afterall most models showed *nothing* from the wave that became Don...the fact there is a system out there *at all* is much beyond what most models expected.

We have clouds here in Central Texas....almost forgot what they looked like. We are grateful for any relief we can get and thank goodness Don did not become a hurricane.
The Rio Grande Valley needs that rain they are getting, as they are major crop producers. Yay!!!!!

I'm glad that Texas is getting some beneficial rain from Don and certainly grateful that Don wasn't a hurricane. I pray that you will all benefit from a gentle tropical system this year. I'm so happy for all of you!
