Often in threads a poster will add a very long URL which greatly disrupts the layout, causing one to have to scroll back and forth horizontally throughout the whole page. This could be easily corrected by either using text links in the form of [url=http://url]URL text[/url], or even by using http://www.tinyurl.com for condensing those long URLs. It would be great if everyone knew how to make a simple text link, but I know that with so many members who aren't proficient in html or bbcode that is asking a lot. And many people are unaware of tinyurl also.
My suggestion...
Either make the information to address this issue available to posters somehow, maybe in an FAQ or Posting Guidelines, or ask that mods edit these disruptive posts when they come across them. A mod edit might include a short note appended explaining the reason for the edit, as well as a link to a page explaining how to avoid the issue in the future.
I hope this constructive suggestion is something that the S2K admins will consider. I feel it would make the S2K experience even better than it already is.
Love the site! Keep up the great work.
