Degree Symbol

Is there some keyboard shortcut that will display the "degree" symbol? I have seen it on here before.

Alt + 0176 = °
And for an easier way, which includes lots of other symbols, would be to go to...

Programs ---> Accessories ---> System Tools ---> Character Map

I would prefer to go to that, mostly because I don't like the short cuts.
