This is annoying

#1 Postby coriolis » Mon Sep 20, 2004 3:55 pm

Sometimes when I open a thread the page opens wider than my window and I have to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the window to shift the page left and right to see the full page. Other times the page opens to the same size as my window and I can see the whole page without having to scroll. What's up with that?

Usually it's because someone has posted a link to a large picture in the thread somewhere. The pages are dynamic so the page will adjust to the size of the posts.

Ed, perhaps your screen resolution has something to do with it.

I have mine set for 1280 by 960 pixels. Not only is it better to view items on your screen, it is also better for your eyes.

I'm using 1024x768 which seems to be a good compromise on this 13" monitor. Any more, and stuff would be too small to read.

Grr. I am going to start editing out large pictures.

just kidding.

thanks guys.
