too many images

#1 Postby pawlee » Thu Dec 11, 2003 5:41 pm

don't get me wrong, some people have very creative avatars, icons, signatures etc. but man... even on high speed, this stuff takes awhile to load and especially messages including those who use animated gifs or larger images hypercompressed (such as radars). there should at least be some form of better kb limit per avatar. not trying to burst anyones bubble but knowing the load speed for me on high speed, i would hate to visit on dial up... p

Pawlee, we took this into consideration a while back and created a Template that does not display Graphical Avatars and Signatures... Go into your profile and scroll down to "board styly" and select the template titled "subrebel" :-)

Mark, images usually come up on dial-up... it is that they load slow; thus the reason for the Subrebel template, that doesn't show avatars and images in signaitures.
