Weather Station Observations

#1 Postby HurricaneGirl » Wed Dec 31, 2003 9:40 am

My husband got me a Weather Station for Christmas and I would like to put my observations for Jacksonville on the Weather Station Section.

How do I go about doing that?

Wow, I just stumbled on this thread, Mary. Congratulations!!!
I got one too. :D A Davis Vantage Pro.
Where did you install yours? I was going to put the anemometer on the roof, but it seemed like too much trouble for no longer than we're likely to be living here. So it's in the backyard about 50 ft from the house.

That is so awesome, girlfriend!! Are you loving it? Man, it's a blast when a front passes, how the wind immediately shifts and you can watch the DP & temp start to drop. :D

Nothing beats the art and science of watching weather. Unless, of course, you actually begin keeping records of precip, temps, and more.

I've got a suggested site for posting daily, weekly, or monthly observations if you get into that. Let me know.

Cool! 8-) I'll let you know when I get the Weatherlink software installed and figured out, Marshall.
I was just looking for the "Member's Weatherstation" section on the home page and didn't see it. Weatherwunder used to be on there. Has it been removed, or am I just blind?

We haven't updated some of the old pages yet Donna. They're not gone just not linked into the new look yet. As soon as I get the ChatMap out we'll see what we can do to get those pages updated :-)

:D Wow! I forgot I even posted this back in December! I am glad that you guys found this!!

Mine is made by La Crosse Technology and right now I only have the temperature and humidity sensors hooked up outside.

My landlord did not want us to put anything on the roof so I don't have the wind guage up there. I still use my tube rainfall guage right now.

George and I decided to wait until we move and have our own yard to do that. We live in an apartment right next to the I-95 freeway and there is a 20 foot wall that would block the wind anyway. We are looking for a house right now.
