61 kt SFMR found that isn't suspect. 60 kt seems right for the moment.

I don't think it's hard to believe this storm is 5kts stronger, with the falling pressure, and increasing eyewall organization.

They are probably going to have to go in the SE Quad to find the strongest winds. They may not do that by the 2pm Advisory.

Can someone confirm if a hurricane hunter aircraft flew over the gulf shores area around 1:30PM EDT, heading east? It sure looked like one, handsome aircraft. :)

Nope. It took off from Biloxi at 11:05am EDT heading south.

Ha, there's an air show near here today, I forgot. So perhaps it was one, or a similar plane just not on a mission today.

Recon found pressure of 988mbs on this pass but there was some winds s the extrap pressure may well actually be a little lower then that.
