why? don't want hanna montana on your doorstep? Free tickets? seriously couldn't you all use the rain? It's only a ts and a fast mover too.

Unfortunately, in Savannah & Beaufort, if you get much wind over TS strength, there will be many power outages. Doesn't take too long for me to lose thousands $$ of food at my restaurant. We have many grand oaks that have not been trimmed by nature recently.

good morning !
woke up to very windy conditions in ne fla this morning.
the ocean's surface water temp here seems cold for this time of year to us (were old fla natives...lol) ....praying this will keep hanna from amounting to much as it moves toward cape hat
of course we are keeping an eye on ike ...go box is ready, we never try anymore to ride one of these 2's or better out

NHC says NW, but recon did seem to move the center a bit west during the last 2 VDMs. It very well may be a move of the LLC under deeper convection. Remember this is now over or very near the Gulf stream. Either way Hanna is west of model tracks at this point.

Hanna appears, looking at WV, to have separated herself and closed off the dry air to her south and west. Consolidation of the LLC may be occuring. After all recon did show a 5mb drop between the last two fixes.

No, we got a decent amount from Fay here. Middle of the state, east side, needs it though. Not likely to get it I'm afraid.

latest fix would put the center of hanna in the middle of the latest convective blow up.

Which is a good clip away from the NHC forecast plot points.
Not sure if this will effect where she will landfall, or maybe she will get back on track?
Will be interesting to see if there are any changes to the track at 11:00.

So when is this "turn" to the North going to begin? The forecast maps on the Weather Channel look comical, with Hanna taking a ninety degree turn from its present course. Looks like Jim Cantore should be in Myrtle Beach or Georgetown instead of the Outer Banks.

I just dont see this making landfall north of charleston. It has to make quite a turn that doesent seem that its about to happen.... It looks that it will come ashore Btw. Savannah and Charleston, the way it looks right now.

Funny, I was listening to TWC....just 15 mins ago they said it was heading for Myrtle and now they have Cantore and Sidell in NC and they say hit in Wilmington....not that it makes much diff really. Becuase it is just a tropical storm, right?
I am surprised that Hanna is no longer listed on this site as an active storm now

I'm expecting the 5 AM NHC track to be shifted well to the SW from the 11 PM track, which hits near the NC/SC border.

Not only was the 5 AM NHC track shifted SW from her 11 PM track, but also the 8 AM position of 28.2 N, 78.8 W represents a move of 0.8 W vs. only 0.2 N from 5 AM to 8 AM. The progged position for 2 PM today was 30.0 N, 78.8 W. So, she is already 1.8 degrees further south than projected at the 78.8 W long just three hours earlier! What the heck is going on here? This sig. SW of track movement has been going on for 18 hours now.

Just reporting that a big tail band from Hanna knocked power out in my school for a few seconds, and it is very windy with rain!

Any chance of North Florida getting a tropical storm watch?

It looks as if the center moved more under the deep convection. Recon center fixes moved almost west during the last 2 VDMs while stating the storm was moving NW. I think a dominant LLC has developed. Also pressure had dropped 5mb with the last fix.
