I think recon will find an llc. Banding features are evident, convection is strong, and it's small size will only help it strengthen faster. TD6/Fay is on the way!

92L is who we thought it was. :D

A developing tropical system. IMO

They had to go as this has been organizing and there are islands closeby to alert if they find a close circulation.

Yes, it is drawing closer to the islands. If there is a LLC it would have to be up near the convection for 92L to take off. I'm thinking it will pass just to the north of the islands if anything does form.....MGC

I don't think this is the research flight.

This is

FLIGHT THREE -- NOAA 43
A. 14/0600Z
B. NOAA3 05DDA CYCLONE
C. 14/0300Z
D. 20.0N 58.0W
E. 14/0430Z TO 14/0930Z
F. SFC TO 14,000 FT

Not

FLIGHT THREE -- NOAA 43
A. IN AREA 15/0600Z-1200Z
B. NOAA3 05DDA CYCLONE
C. 14/0300Z
D. RESEARCH
E. 10,000 TO 14,000 FT

Thats in tomorrows POD. The takeoff time is an error.

This most certainly is a research flight tonight

It is, though a P3 flight. P3s fly through the systems. The G-IV is the high altitude jet

Which is the same time as EDT(meaning it's 2am EDT also).

Anyway, I still think this looks good.
