Hurakan estimated it at around 740Nm I believe from the last set, new set coming in soon. Either way still probably 90 mins away before we hit the higher winds.

Think difference is I'm using nautical miles...old habit from Pan Am...clippers and all...grin. Looks like just a bit over 600nm and that bird should be in the fringes in about 400 nm.

Hmmm recon is getting close, won't be long before it reaches the outer parts of the CDO and the outflow as well.

Yep coming close now to the outer parts of the CDO and has probably already gone just past the outflow spat out to the west.

Yeah the one job that the boss don't go down the "workers" backs if they are late. Most jobs if your late to many times you get fired! Of coarse, I'm having some early morning fun and jokes onto the thread!

Should be there in the next hour or so. We may find a 80-85 knot bertha.

I've got a funny feeling Bertha will be weaker then that given it has only just managed to show some sort of semblence of inner core organisaton, I think 75kts is probably about what recon will find but we will soon find out won't we!

Already getting winds close to TS status at flight level and these will only increase as recon digs deeper into the system.
