Over the Middle East, eh?

Sounds like some yahoo's going to take one meaning or another from Allah out of this one.

So we discovered something the size of a car on Monday and it would only take something 20 to 30 meters wide to cause something like the Tunguska event. I'm more worried about an asteriod 30 meters wide than I am one 30 kilometers.

You're right, a 30 km asteroid (3 times the diameter of the K-T event) would not be anything to worry about since we'd all be dead quite soon after impact.

We would likely see the 30km asteriod coming years in advance. But a 30 m asteriod wouldn't destroy earth, but it could wipe out all of New York City.
