It's being discussed here, although not much analysis has been done yet. http://www.storm2k.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=97241

I have no intention of hijacking this thread, but this is something to watch.

I was running this model to see what happens to Dean, but look at Florida! That could change the topic of discussion in a hurry.

When you go to the link, it runs a model (the CMC) that shows a rather significant Low Pressure system (probably a major hurricane) hitting the SE/E Coast of Florida 6 days from now. I'm not an expert either, but that's what I got out of that.

There's ALOT of activity that's going to get going in the next couple of weeks and if you check the main tropical forum, you'll find it there...we do need to keep this one focused on Dean though...

I figured some of those links wouldn't work. glad you found a few.
I am sure as dean comes closer they will be devoting full time coverage to the storm.

what information are they getting? Personaaly I think Erins strengthening to a Tropical Storm over lands is going to through a big kink in Deans forecast.

Maybe TWC feels that way, but nobody else does.

Looks like inland TS Erin is trying to scoot east or southest towards the Deep South.

No kidding Strat ... where in the world are they getting that info? Only thing I can think of is they're working off some of the northern outliers of the GFS ensemble runs.

This morning TWC had only Mexico in his projected path.At the top of this hour,it included Corpus Christi. They must be catching on the Erin's influence faster than the other models

The posts in this forum are NOT official forecast and should not be used as such. They are just the opinion of the poster and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. They are NOT endorsed by any professional institution or storm2k.org. For official information, please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

IMHO I think it will hit Jamaica a town called Freetown is where it is go into. But JMHO. The way it keeps going more North I don't think it will miss Jamaica. But I hope I am very wrong. I know how most of these people live and it is not good. I Pray that it does stay off shore. But still to close still lots of damage will happen.

This morning their projected path didn't include Texas.Maybe they are seeing the influences of Erin more than the GFS.We are still 5 days away from a strike,so bear that in mind

Yes, but they are like accuweather and tend to use their own graphics.
