On NASA's High RES VIS SAT you can clearly make out the LLC right over or just west of Key West. It's exposed with the heavy convection being sheared off to the east.

We have moderate rain right now at SR84/turnpike/I-95 area.

20 minutes ago we had very heavy tropical rain with some dark scary looking clouds. Currently is light grey featureless overcast with the moderate rain.

No lightning/thunder at all so far today (unlike yesterday)

No lightning/thunder is sign of tropical nature.

11 AM Pressures are actually falling along the SW FL coast and rising along the SE coast. This indicates to me that at least for the short term that this low pressure may move more northerly than NE.

Definitely had thunder this morning at around 7:15 AM up here in Palm Beach County.

I don't think there is a TD from this thing until it is offshore east of Florida. Hopefully, it will take its time and pinwheel the huge area of convection North and Northwest into our area and up to Lake O.

This is the chance for us to get a good 5-10 inches of rain over a 2-3 day period (including some good rain last night) before we get back into the drought type pattern again.

:rain:

Then lets see if the Tropical Wave (old 97L) can bring us some more rain this weekend.
UKMET needs to change its mind and not have Karen lurking for us afterwards!

No, the Texas magnet isn't working on this one. It should go up the trough.

Sunny dry and blue sky here where we need the rain.

This is nearly the perfect set-up for a flood event along the SE Florida coast and upper keys...By Thursday evening it's possible to have localized areas receiving 10"+ from the northern keys and especially along the SE coast of Florida..

The Low is swirling west of Key West...not moving

possible rapid intensification on this folks. Stay tuned. South Florida get ready for alot of rain at the minimum

Will this end the drought that parts of Florida has been thru? Lets see if Lake Okechobee fills.

I see a sheared system with the low becoming exposed, not buying RI. Not today anyway. IMO.
