Folks patience on this one. I think it will develop but it will take a couple of days. Look at all the moisture it still has with it.
This one will track a bit farther north than Felix and could be a player to watch for the islands/US down the road given where it is developing and the steering patterns.
Locals in South Florida are already talking some about it -- although it is way too early to say what it is going to do.
Check out this water vapor loop:

It's always the same story. I guess people don't learn and don't realize this is September, anything can happen.
From almost nothing to a depression to a hurricane in 48 hrs. Just ask Félix.

This time of year nothing should be written off. The tropics can change quickly. Felix is a prime example.

Luis not surprising. Like I said earlier up this page it has PLENTY of moisture to work with -- just give it time. It should be our next headache

People, prepare for the Diurnal Maximum..In my personal opinion this disturbance will make its act together once it reaches better atmospheric conditions, that is, west of 45W.

Convection begins to develop and the LLC is very visible.

Something interesting is that as it moves Westsouthwest, and yes,it will reach the same latitud of Dean and what was the disturbance that gave birth to Felix.

The subtropical high is pushing it into its favorable zone. Anything north of 13-14 north up to 60 west won't have a good shot of developing. The more it gets inline the better its shot is. I expect to develop if it does so.

May be triple for now. The rest of the season only God knows.
