it looks to be on the southern edge of the convection.

yes I took that into consideration in my post

Sorry, I dazzled myself.

The images updated, now all you have to do is turn off 277, 278, 287, 288

And that's the last time I'll post about this loop. :D

I'm on a really annoyingly slow dial-up. So I don't have loops. I'll leave the center calls to others since the western convection is now looking mean and CDO-round as well.

This storm reminds me of diana in 1984, sheared really badly to the point of a nearly naked swirl, then all of a sudden explosive development, I expect strong development, maybe to a borderline cat 2, but nothing like Diana was

So is the blowup on the west going to come down and fill in around the center or will the center relocate?

Hardly any of these models are calling for any New England direct impact, but they still need to be watching this one, I think.

Yep its on the SW edge of that deep convection and looks like its slightly drifting away from the main convective complex as well a little, looks like its still being sheared based on this though its not as bad as 12-18hrs ago.
don't think its going to rapidly develop if the LLC starts to outrun the convection due to shear.

While it is certainly better organized and probably a TD or maybe a weak TS, I think the overall strengthening of this system will be gradual. It still has a ways to go with consolidating around the center. There is still some shear over it as well, even though that is decreasing as the TUTT low retrogrades. The big key is how much separation occurs between the sfc low and the TUTT. If the distance remains close to what it is now, then at least some shear will continue to affect the system, greatly inhibiting the amount of intensification that can take place. On the other hand if the TUTT low retrogrades quicker or weakens, then a much more divergent pattern will continue to develop over the system and greater intensification would be possible.
