Last night I kissed the ground after our flight landed in CLT from DC. Delayed at BWI, Baltimore
for severe WX to clear Charlotte our destination. Well the bumpiness was no problem at all, but those slooooowwwww downdrafts and updrafts are Major sickening. Heard at least 2 passengers couple rows back using a barf bag, but I never did though I came close. Have any
of you gotten used to it ?

My stomach is too tied up in knots to be sick when i'm flying. I'm not the best flier in the world and i'm flying to orlando, changing planes in atlanta, during the middle of january. I'm not looking forward to the plane ride but it sure beats a 12 hour drive each way to orlando.

I used to fly 1-2 a year from Elmira, NY to TPA through Pittsburg, Phily, or Detroit. Elmira is in the middle of the hills, and at the time they could only get puddle jumpers into there. There were plenty of updrafts/downdrafts and shaking it all about. I got used to it over time.

im really not a frequent flier, but have been many times over the years from toronto-ft lauderdale , and toronto-trinidad, and barbados.. im not really scared of flying at all, and have never been sick. I handle these things pretty well haha

I used to get airsick. Pick up some ginger pills at a vitamin store, and take two of them before going through airport security. They really do help.

I've never had a problem with motion sickness (airsick). But I have tossed my cookies a few times in choppers (UH1H).....but those times were from adrenaline rushes.

There is such a thing as "sympathetic vomiting".....I once knew an iron worker that would see someone vomit and they would be having a party!!

I have some one liners.....say it just loud enough for the people seated around you to hear.....

"These barf bags are awfully small.....gimme yours just in case."

"Do you think your husband suspects anything?"

Oh yes... you have to remember what job I do..........

TD/TS are worse than Cat4/5 Hurricanes (Most of the time)...

I have thrown up on pilot pro rides before because of the constant approaches and tactical landings..... 3.5 hour sortie with 20+ full stop landings (quickly land and put engines into reverse thrust immediately and stop in under 3500 ft)

I got a huge headache on my flight to Memphis a couple days ago. I'm no stranger to flying, and I usually get through it with no trouble, but you can always get sick on a plane.

Never got sick flying, actually as soon as the plane takes off it's naptime, I usually sleep till the drink cart comes around have a drink then take another nap. I love flying and always have, do alot of it during football season

And does the drink from the drink cart have anything to do with that second nap?
