I read that Jesus was born between March and October, most likely between April to September based on astronomical calculations and planetary alignments. Jesus was born when the census was being taken. Also, it was during the harvest and if Jesus was born in December, it would of been too cold for three wise men. Christmas in July is not all that outlandish and may have some truth to it. If Jesus was born in September, than he was conceived in December, which we are celebrating Jesus's conception.

Sorry, I just love to correct people on this. The Bible never says how many wise men there were, there were just 3 gifts. Coulda been 2 wisemen, or 3, or 4, or 90.

Also, it never says when Jesus was born... Oh forget all the technical stuff.

It's not like they were living in Canada at the time. It was closer to the equator and not quite as cold if the birth happened in December.

It's all relative. For them, they are not using to cold weather. Also, they are less likely to sheparding.

I've heard dates ranging from April to September, and years ranging from 6 BC to 4 AD. As such take you're pick people. Still it doesn't matter when he was actually born, rather that we choose this time of year to mark his birth, and what ir represents to over culture. That is what is truly important everyone.

Well, it isn't important to everyone (it isn't important to me). The date was only chosen to make it easier for pagans to adapt from pagan festivals (December 25 was considered the birthday of the sun in the final years of the Roman state religion) to Christian ones. It was a simple matter of replacing the central religious figure.

I can care less if Christmas is December 25th. It does it make it more exciting for sure. Also, they were going to set it on March 25th. Well, if that was the case, it would be interesting.
