Finally the dog days of summer are over and a much nicer time of the year is beginning. I like those days here in South Florida when we have a cold front come through, that nice breeze from the north is always a bressing.

HAPPY AUTUMN EVERYONE!!

I would be very excited about Fall if only it didn't still feel like Summer here in the Ohio Valley.....sigh.

We are 13 inches under in rainfall and experiencing a severe draught. Many trees will have to taken down (not mine, been watering them each week all summer). Lawns are brown, as ours is, I've just watered trees and shrubs, the dirt in lawns and around foundations all have deep cracks, some homeowners are experiencing water main breaks now. Officials say to water your foundations too. Since I've watered my shrubs, I think my foundation is okay. Still it feels so odd outside, nary a bee and when I do water trees and shrubs, out come the birds to search for worms. So sad to see.

How I long for several gray and rainy days. We've had endless days of sunshine and temps near 100 at times. This is very unusual for Cincinnati. We joke if you don't like the weather, wait a day, it will change. It usually changes, sometimes by the hour. Not this year though....

Lol, Mary. It doesn't feel fall like here either, but I can tell a slight change in the morning time so I know its on its way. Some relief is better than none.

Today feels like the First Day of Fall. It's a beautiful, semi-cool morning, a nice breeze, clear skies.

still not too Fall-like here in Toronto, except for the sun's angle which is much more noticeably lower than in the summer, and also the earlier sunsets and of course its dark when i wake up at 6am in the mornings now. But tomorrow Toronto could reach nearly 28C 82F (which would be a new record for the date) and we have had about a week of just absolutely great "summer-like" weather.

some trees have turned red though, but most trees have taken full advantage of all the sun and are still as green as they were in summer.

Yes indeed...coming off of one of the hottest and DRIEST summers in EONS, I am READY and let tell ya's, it WAS fall yesterday!!!

Had 1.75" of rain Saturday night then a COOL 59° for high yesterday with a wind out of the N-NW @ 26mph made a BEEEEEUTIFUL first day of autumn!!

Feels like summer here. Well into the 90's today.

Means Nothing untill we get out of the stinkin 90's

Na, its cool.. Means my Sons FITH bday is coming up and Halloween, one of my favorite hollidays

Waiting for fall. Still waiting.... Still waiting...

Oh fudge. Well, there is a front coming. Maybe we'll at least get a little cooler at night.

All signals to me that the most depressing time of the year is fast approaching... I HATE winter!!! Bring on the 90's year around - now THAT would be right down my alley. Anything below 80 degrees and it's time to layer the clothing!!

But for those of you who embrace this season - and the one that follows it - a happy Fall to you all!!

LOL Ixolib, I don't like winter either....AT ALL! But I do enjoy fall and spring for that matter. At least we are in the right place for liking it hot, lol. Its hot 8-9 months out of the year.

I''m ready for some cool weather!!!!!! but winter does tend to get depressing around Feb.. Oh well can't have it all i guess!
