Creating my own website

#1 Postby deltadog03 » Sat Sep 22, 2007 6:27 pm

Hey everyone!
I am wanting to create my own website for various things to put on it. I am just very inclined on how to do it. I know I can register and create my own domain with godaddy.com for 8 bucks a year. BUT*** is that all? Do I need to also get a server package as well? Any help will be MORE than helpfull.
Thanks,
Chris

Yes, GoDaddy only gives you a domain name and nothing else. Try Brinkster - you get the domain name and actual webspace.

Yeah, try to find a hosting package that includes free domain registration. For all of my websites I use ipowerweb.com. It's $95.40 per year ($7.95 per month) for hosting and as I said they include free domain registration as well.

Edit: I just checked and now they are running a sale making it $5.95 per month if you sign up for a year.
