I am so glad he got what he deserved! Our 24 hour local news channel had the whole hearing live and it was just sicking to listen to all the details that poor baby went through. With my twin girls being 9 years old I could really relate to Jessica. I gave my girls extra hugs and kisses this afternoon after watching that. What a sick bastard, too bad they couldn't walk out of the court room and hang him in the middle of down town with the cameras still rolling.

O Town I agree 100 % with you on that. I thought the hearing to determine if he was retarded was a ruse to put off the sentencing. I knew he wasn't a Down's syndrome person, his eyes and attitude gave it away.

I'll bet anybody any amount it won't happen. First, because of his age he will die of old age before the appeals process is over (average time on death row is 15 years) and, second, if anyone in prison got near to him he'd be dead meat that day. Unfortunately those on death room are segregated from the general population. Every day he breathes the same air we all do is an injustice to everyone. To bad we can't bury him the same way he did her!

I think they should just put him in a room with her father. He would take care of him just right!!

Actually they could release him anywhere in Florida and I'm sure things would be taken care of pretty quickly. His ultimate punishment will come after he leaves this world.

I have my issues with the death penalty, but if ever there's a case where it's appropriate this is it.

Ahm, some people here are acting as sick as him apparently. I don't mean to be rude, but 'hang him in public?' 'Bury him alive?' Sure he's a sick jerk but who on earth deserves that? It's just fighting fire with fire. That said, I don't have a problem with the sentence, he does pretty much deserve it.

a public hanging is torture? Give me a break! Hanging is the most humane way to be executed, who cares if it iin public? It will be over very quickly, meaning he'd have about 2 seocnds to make his peace with god or face eternal torture


That said, why not do some good old fashioned Roman justice... tie him in a bag with a wild dig, a poisonous snake and a monkey and throw the bag near the north Grand Island bridge, which is about 2 miles from Niagara Falls... those 10 minutes would provide him some of the punishment that he deserves

Sadly, you're dead on the money...actually, it takes on the average 17 YEARS before the scum meets his end HOWEVER, take rest in this! Over 60% of the convicted "cho mo's" (child molesters) wind up dead WAY before their sentencing is carried out even though they are kept segregated as you said. The prison gangs have WAYS of getting to someone they want dead

Prison society has some very awkward quirks. You can be a rapist, robber or murderer and no one thinks twice about it. But, go into prison for having killed your mother or messed with a kid and your dead. Maybe they are onto something we should take a lesson from.
