Merv Griffin Dies at Age 82

Iconic TV personality, game-show producer, and real estate magnate Merv Griffin has died, according to a statement released by The Griffin Group/Merv Griffin Entertainment. He was 82. Griffin was admitted to Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles last month when his prostate cancer, which was originally treated in 1996, had returned.

I remeber my mom watching his talk show everyday when I was growing up. That was the beginning of daytime talk shows. He never took no crap either. lol.

He brought back 'Jeopardy!'. My dad won back in the 1960s on the original Jeopardy.
Hence, he is indirectly responsible for the hilarious SNL spoofs of 'Jeopardy!' with a hilarious faux Sean Connery.

It was wierd, my mom and I were talking about him last week, and she said, he died didn't he, and I said, not that I know of.

He owned the first casino in Atlantic City - Resort's.
I remember his daytime talk show being on as I grew up.
