What is the lowest elevation you have been and how did you get there?
This was inspired by the thread on "What is the highest elevation you have been?"
I visited Death Valley National Monument. I visited Badwater Basin, which is 282 feet below sea level. It was an awesome experience, especially in the winter.

About 90 feet below sea level in the Imperial Valley of CA on I-8. As you pass through El Centro, you see an elevated water tank with the sea level emblazoned on its side about 90 feet up.

I guess the lowest I've been is in the Channel Tunnel which has an average depth of 45m below sea level and at the deepest point is 115m below sea level.

I've been in numerous caves, a couple that you take an elevator down to access. Having grown up below sea level in New Orleans, the lowest I've been is in Death Valley, California, a couple hundred feet below sea level. Boy was it hot that day....MGC

The lowest for me was probably America's Bathtub (j/k)...I mean...New Orleans. Since I live in LA, I feel entitled to a few NOLA cracks.

I'm probably going to have the most unique story for this one:
The lowest I have ever been was in a submarine in Barbados. We went down as far as about 100-150 feet, maybe a little more. LOTS of amazing fish and coral down there. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you ever get a chance to take a ride in a submarine underwater, TAKE IT. It is absolutely amazing.

Well mine might have been about that deep, I just don't remember exactly. It's been about 10 years now.

Sea level unless you count swimming underwater at the beach. I have been in the bridge/ tunnels near Newport News, VA and the Lincoln Tunnel in NYC.

I was going to say mine is at the Cafe du Mond in NOLA. I'm thinking it's around -3ft. ?? Although I have been through the tunnels in NYC.
While trying to find the elevation at Jackson Square in NOLA, I did notice that the airport in NOLA is at +4 ft. I never realized in all my flights in and out of there that it was so low.

Sea level, Chrissy & I live at the beach. Unless the spelunking in caves counts. I know that I went down into the caves that lead to the aquifer beneath San Antonio, Texas and Chrissy did alot of caving too but, I'm not sure which ones she went to.

Does Scuba diving count? If so, about -80 feet.

Sea Level at the shore, but my wife said that if I keep looking at the bikinis, I'll be six feet under.
