that is scary. I wonder if they will be able to tell with something like that how long ago it was used? Anyone here know?

Every launcher has a serial number that should be trackable. Sounds like this may be an old LAW (Light Anti-talk) tube but we'll have to wait for more details.

The story posted is correct, but this story was being misreported as a major threat by one cable news station yesterday. So if you saw a story about how dangerous this was, no worries.
Fear gets ratings. Small, useless missile launchers don't.

This was just a spent anti-tank missle launcher, which you can buy at any army surplus store. It also was at least three miles away from the nearest approach path to Newark Airport. Regit's right, fear sells.
