I am the assistant manager at a "pet friendly" beach resort and we're having a big afternoon party! There will be hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill for the people and lots of treats for the dogs! Also, there will be wacky little competitions for the dogs to win prizes like gift baskets and free weekend stays at the resort! It should prove to be fun for all!! Later we will all walk across the street to the beach for what usually is an excellent fireworks display!! I'm really looking forward to it, it's fun watching the pride on the pet owners' faces when their pet wins a prize for being all cute and stuff!! :D :D :D

Chrissy will be joining us for all of the festivities and that will be awesome because dogs and children just LOVE her!! She's got a really fun energy and they can sense that about her!! Plus she grills a mean burger!!! :D :D :D

Barring any MAJOR crime scenes (which is HIGHLY unlikely given the IDIOTS that come up here and think it's OK to use fireworks) we are planning a MAJOR neighborhood BBQ. Other than that............."work"

Pirates v Brewers at PNC Park. My butt will be there. Otherwise, doing nothing else. Plus, I have the rest of the week off.

My 4th plans are to see my daughter get rid of some things that clutter up our living room. Also might go to see fireworks that the city of Lakeland puts on.

we don't have 4th of July Holiday here in canada of course, but the equivalent holiday (Canada Day) is on Sunday July 1st ( the holiday is celebrated on Sunday but Monday July 2 is a National holiday here in lieu) ... so there are fireworks and barbeques and picnics and camps as Canada celebrates this long summer holiday weekend.

My brother is in town this weekend along with his wife and kids and they are spending it with me, whatever we plan will be outdoors, as the weekend weather looks spectacular with tons of sunshine and temps in the mid 20s ( 73-77F) in the daytime. YAY

I might have to work. It's the second quarter closing (accounting lingo) and numbers need to be reviewed closely before the auditors come in. :(

It's not THE WORST holiday to have to work.

I"m house-sitting at a really old, incredibly beautiful house in the Garden District with a very nice pool. I'm going to invite some friends over to barbecue burgers and chicken and hang out in the pool. Sweet!

I got a great bumper sticker from a guy who came by my workplace, I think you would appreciate it... it says "My next police car is gonna' have a HEMI!!"
Seems that Dodge wants to hook up with all of the enforcement agencies and get them out of the Crown Vics. 8-) 8-) 8-)

It looks as though I might actually have the day off!! Dennis, our FY starts on Sunday too, but end of month numbers go in on Monday and we review them again on the 6th.

With temps looking like 110+ for the 4th of July, we'll be in the pool or in the house!!

Going out on the boat and going to our fishing camp. We will have a barbecue there, fish, maybe take a quick dip in the lake. Quality family fun to get away from it all.

We'll be on vacation in Yellowstone National Park on the 4th, staying in West Yellowstone, MT that night. I've heard that they're having a huge firework display for the 4th, so I'm sure we'll watch that.

We will probably go down to the "slab" and watch the fireworks off the barge since they still haven't rebuilt the Beach Park pier here in Pascagoula. But now we have a wonderful view and we still have our trailor down there so we will have a potty and a fridge for the watermellon to keep cold!

Mary

PS It's also my brothers birthday so we always have a Birthday Cake and Home Made Ice Cream!
