Donna - finally, you know where you're moving to! Louisville is a very nice town. As I'm sure you know (since as you say it's not far from your town now). We drive thru L. on our way to Bowling Green, to and from, when visiting our college aged daughter at Western KY U. In fact, she's met many new friends who are from Louisville. Right now she's interning for a small newspaper in Bardstown and drives into Louisville for fun (apparently there's an eclectic area with shops, cafes, she likes a lot, I'll look up that info for you Donna). And the best news? You're only 2 or 2.5 hours from Cincy! Depending upon traffic. Hey, we could meet half way and shop in LaGrange, KY and finally meet up. Just one of my favorite smaller Kentucky towns with quaint shops and such (La Grange that is). There's also a very nice, newer outdoor shopping "mall" called Crestwood I think. It has lots of stores that are quite popular today (Ann Taylor, Borders, Old Navy, Gap, etc.).
Finally, have you learned how to pronounce Louisville, so you'll sound like a local? We've been told you have to drop your voice down low and speak as if you have marbles in your mouth, saying - Louavulle. Never say Louieville! LOL At least this is what I hear..... he he
