Chatroom

So, does the link up on the top of the website not work anymore?

Is it down?

Do I need to type something in the "socks port" part?

I haven't been back here in a little while so it definitely seems as though a lot has changed. The site looks good mfdolphin!

Most ov us are using mIRC now. If you upgraded java, the java link doesn't work.

Well, the link works, but there does seem to be a problem with connecting to the server. I'll let them know and we'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
Btw, I updated Java and I tested chat with Java and it worked. Mine didn't work before the update.

I use mIRC though as it's much better than Java.

If you want to chat with that, you can download it at http://mirc.com/" target="_blank

The info for mIRC is:
irc.stormdancing.net
port 6667
/join #storm2k

I downloaded mIRC...but can't find anywhere that I would enter the info "irc.stormdancing.net" or a port for that matter.

I am usually a little computer savvy but evidently not in this case.

Any sugestions?

Do you have AIM or MSN? It's been a long time since I downloaded it, so I don't know exactly what to tell you to do. If not, what are you seeing?

The irc.stormdancing.net is the server. Do you see Tools at the top of mIRC? If so, go to Tools, then options. You want Stormdancing: Random Server in that box.

The link is fixed. It had to be updated by Stormdancing since the latest Java update. The drop-down smilies and stuff don't work yet, but she'll get to those when she has more time. You can get in and chat now though! Just change the "Storm User" name to your name, make sure it says Storm2k in the channel blank, then click on the green arrow on the yellow dot. Voila!

Happy chatting! :D

Not that I use Java but I just tried the link for giggles and its not working for me. And yes I updated my Java a week or so ago. All I get is a buttload of red Xs and no where to even sign in, just goes straight to the chat box but nothing there. ???
Whats up with red x's on the entire page?

I don't know, Kelly. I tested it before posting and just tested it again... it's working fine for me. Did you get a privacy pop up beforehand? If so, you have to say YES to that.

Nope no privacy pop up, no yournick popup box to put in your username. It just pops up the way you see it above. Now it makes me wonder whats going on with my Java.
