"Explore with us the wonders and mysteries of the Black Holes in our universe. Is it possible that areas on earth might, in fact, show black hole like tendencies? We take a hard scientific look at an area known as the Bermuda Triangle to see if there are indeed any similarities between the supposed forces in the triangle and the destructive force of a black hole. From a research boat trip through the triangle to interviews with scientists at the US Geological Survey, Harvard University, and the UK's Cardiff University, we go far beyond the event horizon to explore the dangers in this area and what relation they might indeed have with its counterpoint in space."

I have heard a lot of Bermuda Triangle's hypothesis but never "black hole like tendencies."

What do you think??

Being aired right now - 9 PM EDT.

I wish you had told me a half an hour ago. I've been in the Bermuda Triangle and nothing happened.

I don't believe in the Bermuda Triangle.

I do believe it may have been different before, and it may have sunk ships many years ago, but not now.

If there is something like a black hole in the Bermuda Triangle, then the effects of this object are not contants because we only hear about problems in the area from time to time. If this thing were like a real black hole, problems would occur every time something tried to cross it.

There's even a link between the black hole and the "increasing hurricane activity." Now they are going too far me thinks.

If there was a black hole anywhere on the earth, wouldn't the whole planet be sucked in by it's gravity, and be ripped apart by tidal forces? Wouldn't Luna fall into it as well? Are Mars and Venus far enough away not to? Besides since a Black Hole would be the most massive thing in our Solar System, if one were here why would it be in Earth's spot, and not Sol's? I'm not buying that there are any black holes in our Solar System. Maybe we're unfortunate and one comes here in the future, maybe not, since there are black holes in our Milky Way Galaxy.

:uarrow: What he said. What a crackpot theory.

If there was a black hole on the earth, we wouldn't be here to be discussing it. The gravity of a black hole is so strong that our entire solar system would be sucked into it in no time.
