Last night, I went starwatching with my telescope, Meade Starfinder 8. The humidity was low and sky was clear. One problem, lots of mosquitos! They drive you crazy and test your patience. :grr: :grr: I came close to just giving up. Anyways, I tried seeing the Virgo Cluster and M64, M65, and M66, but to no avail. M64 is the Blackeye Galaxy and I have seen it before in a dark sky location, but I could not see it. I also saw Venus and the Moon and Saturn. I also got to see M53 globular cluster. The Astronomy League Urban List does not list M53 being visible in a urban setting, yet I managed to see it. However, it lists all those galaxies being visible in a urban setting. It was small and faint with some bright stars. Not bad because I never bothered looking for it until recently. Overall, I spent a good time outdoors. I will try again soon.
