Do you have any statues in your home? I have a tall pair of African natives that my mother gave me years ago. They are not expensive, but they really cute on my shelf.

I have several. Everything from a mated pair of African figures my ex bought me about 47 years ago to a couple of pieces I created soon after that. I have two new pieces that are not statues but I dearly love. My daughter's ex boss brought me two carved pieces from Ghana recently. The are both African women holding their babies. They hang on a wall.

We have a large leather horse that one of Johns students brought back from India. I don't know if you would quality that as a statue.

The Virgin in the back yard and inside before Katrina I had a lot, haven't gotten that many since then for this house but my daughter gave me a Statue of a Mother and Daughter called Chrysalis from the Signature series of Willow Tree the caption says Protect and cherish, give wings to fly. My husband gave me one of the same collection of a man and woman, it is called Promise its caption says Hold dear the promise of love on our anniversary last year. My sone gave me the one with Mother and Son but it didn't have a card in the box and I don't know the name of it...I need to find another one and see if I can get the card that goes with it. Other than that my cousin went to garage sales up in North Mississippi after Katrina and found me some "different" things, a statue of a Red Bird which is really beautiful, tow statues of women dressed in long dresses and of couse the always wonderful St. Jude. I had a really neat one before katrina and couldn't find it in the rubble after the storm but it was an Alaskan(sp) fertility idol...took me tooo long to get pregnant and I needed all the help I could get..hahahaha. On well, when I think of all the stuff I lost with Katrina and can't be replaced I get depressed so I will shut up.

I forgot. We have two Hindu statues from India representing their God. They are different in appearance but the same God. John's students brought them back from India.
