Do you have any vacation plans for this summer? We just got back from a Costa Cruise two weeks ago. Had a great time. We will plan another cruise for November. We left from Fort Lauderdale and loved that cause we could tour that town too. We just take two weeks of vacation a year, two cruises. John is so busy at work and traveling himself. We always stay put during the whole hurricane season as anything could happen.

We're taking a 5-day Carnival cruise on Inspiration from Tampa to grand Cayman and Playa del Carmen in June. Otherwise we're only traveling to a wedding in Cincinnati, hardly a vacation!

If we can swing the $$ and my health holds up (always questionable), we're hoping to head to western NY for a family reunion to meet people I've only known through my genealogy research. Of course, Dave insists that we rent a Harley instead of a 4-wheeler. ??!!

Daughters and I just rented a 2 bedroom apartment on the beach at Treasure Island for a week in July. Made sure they would refund if we had a hurricane at the time. Really looking forward to it. Not far away (2 hrs) but so relaxing. We take food mostly prepared at home and reheated there, lots of snacks, and steaks and ribs for a couple of nights of grilling. The girls and kids spend hours on the beach or in the pool, I spend hours reading, drawing or painting in the shade. We do exactly what we want--no work, no school--lots of game playing and swimming. Lord, I can't wait!!!!

I'm going to be going to Illinois at least once (probably twice) to see my girlfriend (it's a long-distance relationship that's gone quite well so far). :D

We are taking a road trip through WY and MT, mainly the Grand Teton Nat'l park and Yellowstone. Hubby will be working in northern CO for the next 2 months and me and the kids will fly there to meet him and we will begin our trip.
