Were You Thinking Of 7 Of Clubs Too?

There's a picture showing on A&E Mundo called Criss Angel - Mindfreak, where a magician performs various illusions that seem to defy explanation.

However, one of his tricks has left me speechless. He did the usual "think of a card... any card" routine (we've all seen it at one time or another).

The thing about this particular trick is that he asked the television audience to think of the card. So, just for the fun of it, I thought of 7 of Clubs. Would you believe he randomly pulled that very card from the deck of cards, showed it to the camera and asked, "Is this the card you were thinking of?"

How on earth could he have known that I in my living room thousands of miles away and at a different time (because the show is not live) was thinking of that card?

Are any of you watching this show now? And were you thinking of that same card? Are any of you familiar with this show?

This guy's amazing!

When i used to work at a magic shop with a descendant of Houdini i learned tricks 'similar' to this one. Where you use subliminal thought to project that card into the persons mind. Its about 70% accurate...

Like all magicians say, I can't tell you how its done though... and no magician ever does a trick twice. :)

Did he flip through the deck?

I know there's a trick where the magician will flip through the deck so that you can see all 52. But he delays on one card, so that it's the only card you see long enough to process and thus, it's the one you think of.

If he didn't flip through the deck, then I have no idea.

You know, I honestly can't remember if he did. I really wished I'd taped the segment so I could review exactly what he did by slowing the tape down and so forth.

Kriss Angel is awesome. He walked on water, and climbed up a wall, 2 floors high.

He also made drawings into real animals using a hotel mirror, and dublicated many things with the mirror. It was in the lobby. He amazes me.
