As things heat up these days with the Iran standoff about it's nuke program what do you think about the military option against Iran, yes or no.
I say it is inevitable some type of military action against Iran but I discount a ground war there as I see all will be from the air.

I voted yes... it is almost a certainty some sort of military action will be taken. In fact, I think it would be nearly impossible to go on without any military action happening inevitably.

Only 7 votes so far?
Come and vote those who haven't done so yet as this is an important poll about the Iran standoff and what may be in the cards in the future.

History repeats itself, Iraq war started March 19, why not the same time for this one?

Unfortunately, I think that there will be, but I don't think that we can afford to be involved in another war at the same time. I also HOPE AND PRAY that it doesn't come to that. It scares the heck out of me!

Yes... but I think it'll be awhile.

There probably will be some military action, but I think it won't happen until we start to wind things down in Iraq. We don't have the manpower or the funds to open a third front.

I think quite a few are naive, and probably try and compare the Iranian army to the Iraqi army. It would not be strictly a air campaign, and we are NOT even close to being ready for a full scale operation.

not really sure where y'all think these assets are going to come from. we're stretched pretty thin right now. these things arent cheap and we just dont have warehouses full of weapons just waiting to be used. it doesnt work that way.

there isnt money to pay for it. the assets required are more than just people. dont forget that we still have a sizeable presence in Afghanistan too.

No, I don't believe we will take military action against Iran.

NATO assets along with Israeli
I don't believe that the US would or even could act alone, however NATO has plenty of assets sitting in warehouses waiting to be used. I firmly believe that Israel will act no matter what the Security Council determines and If they do then the US will be firmly in the middle of the Stuff.

Either way it's going to be a bad scene. Unlike Iraq, this tiger has the ability to bite back.

Israel's too busy defending themselves from the enemies within their borders. Can you imagine what happens if their military takes off for Iran?

Any action would probably come from the air IMO. The issue is stopping the production of nuclear weapons and ground forces would not be required to achieve that mission. While Iran has taken very deliberate measures to protect their facilities by building a lot of them deep underground, they can still be shut down from the air.
