Just last night, my mom caught a stomach virus after dinner, I don't know if it was something she ate. She told me it maybe the Mayonnaise, but it didn't expire, however I threw it out for safety reasons.

Please pray that my mom will make a full recovery.

Your poor mom!!!!! She must be miserable right now though but she'll be just fine. Give her 24 hours and she'll be feeling better. That darn stomach virus is going around right now. My daughter brought it to Orlando...watch out otown!

Hope she feels better! I wasn't always so careful with checking experation dates on condiments. I did for milk and dairy products, but didn't always check Mayo, etc. Now I do! I served something that you dipped in Cocktail Sauce and my husband was the only one who dipped his. And it was expired. He got very sick the next day, at work! Could barely get home, said imagine being holed up in the office bathroom. They kept coming to him and telling him he had clients on the phone. All had be called back. I felt so bad. I checked the date and it was long past safe. So now before I ever open a jar I check the date. Before making tuna or egg salad too. We also pitch tartar sauce, before it's time. Hubby goes into his schpeel now, whenever something calls for a condiment, "let me check the date, since obviously no one else does....". I do.....now!

Good thing is if it is something she ate, it will be over quicker than if it's a viral thing.

Thanks everyone for your help. :D

Just recently, she had buttered toast with boulion, and nothing came out so far. I'll keep y'all posted.

Stooge, tell her to try some hot tea with honey - now, it doesn't sound appetizing,
but it tends to settle the upset tummy.

Stooge - glad to hear she's able to keep toast down. I prefer plain, white toast as well (after being sick), along with applesauce, Club Crackers with salt (regular type), Chicken Noodle soup (Campbell's or Mrs. Grass mix), 7up or Pepsi (sipped, not downed), bananas, pretzles. In other words - the BRAT diet. After a day or two she'll be able to ease back into her old diet, slowly. Could have been much worse - food poisoning where'd she'd need an ER visit!

How is your mom feeling? Better I hope. I caught the stomach virus twice so far within 3 months of each other. It always hit me at night and did not get any sleep at all. I was in the bathroom all night throwing up. And I rarely ever throw up. Yet, I still had to force myself to go to work the next morning because I can't afford to miss. Don't have any sick days. I wonder myself if it was food poisoning instead of the virus. Because the last time I got very sick throwing up, I ate hamburger helper a few hours before. I never been able to eat hamburger helper since. Just the thought of it makes me nausous now. Did you your mom go to the doctor to see if it was a virus or food poisoning?
