When I moved to Texas 3 1/2 years ago, I was looking forward to living with the excitement of tornadoes - I still have never seen one in my life, or even a green sky or a funnel cloud.
I don't know if that means a tornado is unlikely to devastate my city someday - it just means people are complacent.

well I wouldn't say imposible but. I think that civil unrest is a tad less likley to happen tommorrow then a
cat 6 ("super") tornado hitting there in the next 100 years.

You can't say it is a slim chance. It is a very real chance. Don't pardon it, that is the dumbest thing to do.
Any city is at risk of an F5, Dallas has a greater chance because it is in tornado alley.
This is just like saying the likelyhood of a 4.0 earthquake in L.A. is unlikely.
Oklahoma City was hit by an F5, what where the chances? Also, what were the chances of a repeated hit nearly on the same path of the F5 in 2003 with the F4?

The F4 in OKC in 2003 was my first tornado to see. Why can't the Big D get hit by an F5? The probility is small but very possible. I'd rather have my town hit by an F5 tornado than Katrina. I was in OKC a couple of weeks after the F5 in May 1999 and while tragic, it was nothing compared to Katrina......MGC

That damage at F0/F1? Oh my gosh...
Just think what it will look like with an F3-F5.

Doesn't it say F2?
Anyways, a stronger tornado I imagine could gut, and cause severe structual damage if not outright collapse a high-rise.

The website I got the images from said it was an F2. The Dallas Morning News says it was an F3, but downtown Fort Worth only experienced F0-F1 strength winds. I trust the News more.
