(edited title from: Only 6 Days Left Until 24 Starts!!)

It seems like forever. I can't wait!!

I found this quote on a site talking about what's coming for season 5.
24 5th Season

The new season of 24 will be coming in January with a two day event. Jack Bauer is back, and so are a few other cast members, but plans are to shake things up with new cast members. Most of everything is completely hush hush. It's harder to get info on 24 than what's going on at the Pentagon.

But I do know a new person joining the cast...from an award-winning movie. Scroll down if you don't mind seeing who.

Sean Astin - the hobbit Sam from Lord of the Rings. :)

I know...I get the count down from Marty every day - in hours!

It is a good show though.

lol Steph - you know it's bad when he wakes up one morning and says, "The following takes places between 7 and 8am" then proceeds to get ready for work.

And uhhh, no...I never said that. Image

*tick tick tick*

Only 30 minutes till Season 5 starts!!

If you don't have the Season 4 DVD set, there's a short prequel that bridges Season 4 and Season 5 together. It basically shows Jack in Chicago, he gets out of his car, and goes behind some building and waits. Then Chloe shows up and tells him that he needs to get out of town, NOW. She leaves and as Jack gets back into his car, he sees someone on a motorcycle circle around a few times, looking at him. He has a helmet on and you can't see any part of his face. Then another car shows up and Jack takes off, and they have a dangerous chase that Jack ultimately wins, sliding the other car off into something. As Jack drives off, you see the motorcycle again, watching Jack drive off.

That's it.

Btw, for anyone recording it to watch later, remember it's 2 hours tonight and 2 hours tomorrow night.

Talk about getting right into the action! I was gasping in the first 10 minutes.

I was very mad/upset in the beginning. Two of my favorite people gone! (and maybe a 3rd - we don't know Tony's fate yet) and seconds after I was thinking "Oh good, he's back" and then "Oh good, she's back"
argh!

That's one thing about 24 - they're not afraid to shock you by killing off people you think they never will. Of course we learned that the first season.

But I still can't wait for tomorrow night!!

I think Tony will be back. Do you think the whole group of "killee's" will end up being another story line this season? :?:

Well, they did say the first 10 minutes were going to be shocking - THEY WEREN'T KIDDING!

I'm sorry to see Palmer and Michelle go. Jack's going to kill anyone that had anything to do with their murders! :shoot:

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, David.

I hope Tony is back too, but it will be sad to see him mourn the loss of Michelle. I really liked her.

And as much as I liked Palmer, I guess there wasn't really much left for him to do. It was shocking and upsetting, but he wasn't President anymore and he can't come in every season to rescue the new President Wimpy. At least they didn't just use his death as a shock factor. It's the driving force of the plot so far.

From a die-hard 24 fan...RIP Palmer and Michelle. :(

I hear ya. I watched the first 2 seasons on DVD and then started watching it in prime time for Season 3. It was much better that way, but no way can I just sit here and wait till the DVD comes out. lol

What I meant is I wonder if Palmer and Michelle and maybe even Tony will be back in a somewhat parallel story line that still has something to do with the Chinese stuff from last year and Jack.

ohhhh....hmmm

Well, I might have been inclined to believe Palmer could be back, until they showed his body on his hotel room floor. Looked pretty definitive. :( They said Michelle was dead but if I recall correctly, the last time we saw her was when Tony was holding her and then there was the 2nd explosion. They just said she was dead and Tony had massive head injuries, but we didn't see them again. I don't think he'll be gunning anyone down this season, if he even survives. I think he'll want to because of Michelle, but surely the writers won't have him walking off in less than 24 hours. I know he did after he was shot in the neck, but I don't think they'd try and pull that off twice. However, I would like to see him. *sniff* I'd like to see all 3 of them alive and well.

I do wonder about the Chinese stuff though. They think Jack is dead and they're gonna find out sooner or later that he isn't.

Btw, this is the dumbest President ever. lol I sure hope he panics one too many times and somebody else takes over. "what do I do?" "fix it." "help me, I'm a moron" "wah wah, they're picking on me!"

I agree. And his wife is apparently going to play a major role, at least for a while. HHHMMMM??????
