Brent - congrats! The first birthday is so special. If my memory serves correctly, wasn't he born during a snowstorm? Or some wx event, which of course had to be winter related....or when you and your family were traveling. I just remember it was a hectic time in your family but a blessing, at the same time!

Awww How cute! Happy Birthday to him! Big age difference between the two of you! Is he walking; yet? My aunt had a baby at 42. So, she right now she has a 21-year old, an 18-year old and a 3-year old. So, big age difference there; too.

No... we went to Gatlinburg January 22nd-24th and it snowed and we had ice while we were there. It didn't snow at all here.

We did have an ice storm 5 days after we got back though that was pretty bad.

How sweet, Happy Birthday to your baby brother. Too cute you even remebered the time of his birth, what a great big brother. I don't think my hubby knows the times his own kids were born. lol. First birthdays are always fun letting them go with their own cake, at least here at publix they give the 1st birthday baby their own cake for free. Have fun, and enjoy!!!

That's it, it's all coming back to me. We all pictured a newborn baby in a hotel, but it sounds like you and your family had a wonderful time. And later born children are calmer, sleep better, b/c the parents aren't all freaked out - what do we do, why is he/she crying (me, first time mom!).
OTown - years ago I was in the hospital suddenly, for 7 days. I had about 24 hours notice (cancer, long story, fine now, well almost fine!). I had notes all over the kitchen, stayed up past 1 a.m., thinking of more to tell hubby. He doesn't know our kids ~exact ~ birthdates, fuzzy on that. But the funniest moment was when one of our kids had possible strep. They were checking her temp, he's looking up our Ped's address, saying - I've never been to the Pediatrician's office!!!! The kids told me all about it later on.......Laura was fine, no strep so he never had to take her. I've always done things like this!
