Had a wild morning.

This morning, when me and my mom were transferring buses at a Transit Center in North Irving to the public library, a lady jumped in an unauthorized lake fully clothed. At first, I thought it was nothing, but when she was swimming away from other people who were trying to help her, I ran on down near the area to get her to get out of the lake, but she kept swimming away stripping off 1/2 her clothes off in the midst. When she reached the other side, she tried to get out but couldn't, because the pulpit was at least 6 ft. high, that and algae was growing on there. The bus drivers already called police and rescue units to the scene of the incident, and none of us went in the water to get her out, because the lake is too cold.

According to another bus rider, she jumped in front of the bus earlier before the incident, and she was high on something. He also said that she was trying to get away from whoever did her wrong. Me and my mom were flagging down Police and Fire depts. to the Transit center. When the rescuers went to the other side of the lake to try and save her, she kept swimming away while me and my mom were watching. It seems they have no other choice but to deploy the raft and go in and yank her out of the water.

More details to come whenever I get 'em from news sources.

Also, what is the pulpit that you're referring to, Michael?

Actually, it's a 6 foot ledge, I don't know why they call it a pulpit.

I haven't heard anything on the news yet, but I will kep you posted if anything should come up.

I've heard of "revetments" (spelling?), but not pulpit as used this way. Interested to see if anyone can confirm such reference.

I still haven't heard anything from the news about her. I'm sure she was rescued and properly treated.

Humm, I am sure too. To bad you could not have stuck around for all the excitment. She may have pulled some other crazy moves before they finally got her in the ambulance. Not really funny I know, but entertainment none the less.

Yeah, you're right about that.

Wouldn't be surprised if she came back and pull the same stunt this coming weekend.
