Dyslexia

#1 Postby brunota2003 » Tue Nov 22, 2005 4:51 pm

This is a good link to read up on this "disease" I have it, but its not bad in anyway IMO, actually, I think this should be sticky, so we can make everyone feel at home, and not have someone tell someone else they need to learn how to spell, no ones done it yet, so this is a preempted strike so it never does happen, this is from Tnbob's website, he is on here, and many props go to him for writing this stunning page, heck, I didnt even know I was dyslexic untell I got done reading that... Very interesting read either way though...

Dyslectics have a different kind of mind, often gifted, over-productive, and they are visual thinkers. This makes it easer for a dyslexic to excel in certain professions like, architects, mechanics, engineers, designers and computer technicians.
Fits me perfect, so now you can have a look into MY world... :P :D

YEA, I'm only 15 and have designed several thingys, lol, none have been made to date, but they were good ideas nonetheless... Oh, and anything I make, I can picture in my mind in "3-D" If its a new type of airplane, I can see every detail, where I want all the control panals, etc... Basically, I could "walk" around and thru the plane in my mind... :D

I think it a pretty good description of my grandson. He is only five but is showing signs of dsylexia in his school work. Putting number where they do not belong, and writing numbers backward also. He is supposed to wear glasses also but will not wear them. he takes them off after he leaves the house when going to school.

Just letting ya know that my twins did the same thing with their numbers and letters and every teacher said its normal at his age. Heck they are in second grade now and they still sometimes do it. I hope its nothing they are overlooking. But I figure since they have seen so many children, they would know better than me. I am going to that site and read it myself. Thanks Brunota! :D
