Prayers please for my cousin

A second cousin of mine in Indiana named Jerry lost his wife Jeannine late last night after a long battle with cancer.
She started having a bad chronic cough around last summer and was diagnosed last autumn. Surgery took place this past January with the removal of 2 football size tumors in her chest and she had part of one lung removed, too. Then chemotherapy treatments in February up to until she died.
Jerry is an only child and both of his parents are deceased, too. Jeannine's side of the family is up from around the Lansing, MI area. My folks will be going up to the funeral later this week after we get word on arrangements.
My Dad and Jerry have always been like brothers. My folks and I visited with Jerry and Jeannine in July.
I had lost an aunt in Indiana to cancer this past July, also.
Both my Aunt Marlene and Jeannine are now with the Lord and in that my family takes great comfort.
I've mentioned to my Mom that it would be nice if my Uncle Larry and Jerry were neighbor friends and that way could help support each other emotionally and spiritually since both are now widowers.
My Uncle Larry attends a grief support group at his church and hopefully my cousin Jerry can do the same at his church.
Jerry and Jeannine weren't able to ever have any children...but were quite active in their church with missionary project trips, Jerry sings in a quartet, Jeannine was a wonderful pianist having played at both her church and gave students piano lessons at their home. She played the piano at my sister's wedding in 1992. Jerry videotaped the wedding. They loved to travel having gone as far as Canada and Alaska and Jerry is a great photographer and videographer. Often took missionary trips to Africa.
I'll always remember one time when Jerry and Jeannine came to see my family when we lived in Cincinnati and my Mom had a special autograph tablecloth...it had rained and rained that particular weekend and so at one of our meals Jeannine signed the tablecloth saying "Raindrops keep falling on my head!"
We also went on a rainy day trip to see a planetarium show at the Cincy Museum of Natural History.
On another occasion, we had gone together to see a Reds game on a fair weather weekend!
Also, one time when my family lived in Middletown, NY...J & J
who also love/loved to snow ski and see the foliage in New England had just returned from a trip to Killington, VT and swung by to see us on their way home back to Indiana. Jerry, who has a great sense of humor and who is also kind of a finicky eater
...anyway my family and them were sitting together at the dinner table at a restaurant in Middletown and I was sitting beside Jerry with our backs toward a fireplace...Jerry had received a mixed vegetables medley as part of his entree and he said to me..."Eric, do you want my veggies or shall I just toss them into the fire?" lol
Thank you very much for letting me share with you my dear S2K Family Prayer Warriors.
