Just Curious.

Letterman, all the way. For over 2 decades now! We record his show each night, then watch them over the course of a week. We like his Top 10 List and musical guests.

Jimmy Kimmel's show is more entertaining for me. I like the bands they feature...many are up and coming and ones you've probably never heard of. And Uncle Frank....what a goofball!

I didn't vote. We used to watch Dave every night. But some of his gags are getting stale. I really don't care anymore if "it floats." I'm getting tired of Rupert, and I think Rupert is getting tired of Dave. Years ago Dave's irreverence was irresistable. I think he needs some new writers. He seems to have the most authors and musicians that are just there to plug their latest work. Dave is still fun to watch, and once in a while lightning strikes making for a hilarious moment.

Conan is still fresh and seems to be the most intellectual of the big three. If I stay up that late, I'm watching Conan

We've watched Jay more recently. He's amiable, mature, and funny - not hard to watch.

Sometimes it depends on which guest is on.

None of the above. If I am watching TV late at night, it is most likely either on Nick at Nite or TVLand I used to watch Dave long, long, long ago; like when he was first on late night after having a daytime (morning?) show - does anyone remember that?

Dave Letterman had two shining moments, out of many. His first show after 9/11. It's not exactly what he said but how he said it, jokes seemed to be put aside. I think his guest was Dan Rather. Instead of laughing with Dave, we cried. His show was really catharthic (sp?). Viewers needed some sort of normalcy back then, but not just to jump right back into silly jokes either.

And his tribute to Johnny Carson at this past Emmy's - simply superb.

After On The Record with Greta van Susteren, I always go directly to the movie channels (HBO, TMC, SHO, MAX, ENC, STZ, etc.), or catch up on the History Channels.

Haven't tuned in to a late night talk show since Johnny Carson left.

Yup, Letterman had a morning show dating back to at least 1980 (if not earlier) -- I used to watch/listen to it when my daughter was a newborn!

Yes, I was about 8 or something. My dad loved him an always watched him. I remeber when he moved to late night, my dad was kinda upset, but then he followed him there, to late night. He used to be on a different station when he first got to late night as well. I always watched with my dad when I became older, and also watched him in my room when I was laying down to go to sleep. I know alot of folks think he is corny, but I love his humor, really cracks me up.

I'll tell you what - Letterman really helped me get thru late nights with a collicky newborn, back in 1987.

I'd be standing in our living room condo, swaying, side to side, about 4 foot apart swishes, to keep Nina quiet. The only thing I could do was stand there and watch TV. And so I did. She'd finally fall asleep by 1:30. The crying would start around 7. I thought my life was over - this is how it would be for the rest of my life! But it lasted for about 6 weeks. She started falling asleep earlier and earlier, moving it up. That's when I said sorry Dave, this new mom needs sleep!

But his show saved me and my sanity back then. I tell her this all the time, yep you cried and cried and I watched David Letterman. I think there were nights I wanted to cry but laughed at his silly jokes instead.

I thought I was going to wear a hole in the carpet. The second I sat down, she screamed louder!

I should also add that by 8 weeks of age, she rewarded me with the best sleep ever. She went from sleeping 9 hours in a 24 hour period, but not a straight 9, more like a fitful few hours here or there, to a 12 to 13 straight period. We used to check on her, to make sure she was breathing. We even held a mirror up to her mouth, you go from a screaming kid for hours and hours, to sheer heaven, blissful sleep. She still is a great sleeper......I forgave her for that rough start, years ago.

I vaguely recall his morning show. Didn't watch, I would have been working then. But I heard it was a good show.

Conan O'Brien for sure. I used to love Letterman, but he completely lost his edge after his heart surgery and never recovered his form.
