Tonight's episode takes place just a couple of miles from me at a place called Camp Barnabas. This is a very special camp for children with special needs and is known worldwide. I have several debate students who volunteer there and were included in the show (although to what extent I don't know). If you have never watched this show, I encourage you to see it tonight... not just to see the show, but to see what an amazing camp this is!

This is a great show, I've watched a few times in the past. Just not faithfully. Thanks for the heads up Garrett. I can tell how proud you are of the students you teach, who regularly voluteer their time at such a good camp.

Not only am I proud of my students who volunteer there, I am proud that there is such a camp just 3 miles from us that caters to such a wonderful cause. Paul and Cindy are great people who are very deserving!

While I was watching the show I thought about you and figured you had at least some connection to it!!! Giv eyour students high fives for what they do!!!

I don't normally watch this series but did tonight! VERY nice what they did for Camp Barnabas, it's operators, volunteer staff and campers!!

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
It's a new personal record for me. I made it almost 45 minutes into an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition before I started tearing up. But of course it was a two-hour episode so I still ended up wiping my eyes for over an hour so I guess it all evened out. I always watch, but tonight I was viewing with a purpose, to check out where all the TV Guide's Ty came and collected from our office actually went, and to see people that I work with on TV, which was kind of cool in a surreal sort of way. The whole media center was pretty neat, and the staff bunks were fun (though do those people have any place to store their clothing?) but the amazing tree with all the hands of the campers was what did me in. Once they started collecting those I knew I was done for. That on top of the fact that Trisha Yearwood showed up to sing an inspirational song and former space cadet Lance Bass made an appearance and a whopping donation to the Russian sister camp founded by a former volunteer just added to the waterworks. But really the best part of the episode, besides watching this deserving family and these amazing campers get loads of much needed stuff is watching how they demolish the old house and tonight's was pretty spectacular when they set it on a controlled fire. All that was missing was the old "don't try this at home" warning flashing upon the screen. — Angel Cohn
