Sad news. These kids were going to a high school band competition. Probably a fun event that turned tragic.

This hits a little closer to home for me - one of my closest friends here in Madison went to Chippewa Falls HS and now that he's 28, goes back every year to help conduct the drumline, etc. He was with them this weekend at the competition and is pretty torn up right now. Keep him and all others in your prayers/thoughts, please.

The truck driver lost control of the semi causing a jack-knife trailer leading to the crash. The bus that crashed was the first of several buses carrying band students back from UWW (Wis-Whitewater).
