Whatever happened....

...to WeatherScan? That digital cable channel where they constantly showed weather? I used to watch it a lot here in DFW, and now it's been replaced by some health channel. Is anyone else able to receive the channel? Has it been discontinued?

It was related to the Weather Channel, as it always said "Weatherscan Local by the Weather Channel" in the upper right corner. It only appeared on Charter Digital Cable.

WeatherScan is a 24-hour weather station by The Weather Channel (Comcast Cable Ch. 37 in DFW area), that shows Current Conditions, Local Forecasts, Airport and Golfing Conditions, Traffic Reports, Weather Bulletins, Traffic Conditions (where available) and Health Reports.

Some cable companies still carry WeatherScan on standard cable (Comcast Cable Ch. 99 in Irving), but some place it in their digital tier.

Too bad that only Comcast Cable in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area carries WeatherScan, but if you live in Meridian, TX (on Charter Ch. 234); you could get lucky.

Here in Fort Worth, it used to be Charter Cable Channel 246.

Well, I thought it was funny...given how close we are to Halloween and all.

You guys too young to know from what song that line comes?
