Hi all.. I'm very enthusiastic right now. Please feel free to move this to my Wal Mart Journal if you think it's not a bad idea..

anyway..

I have been talking so much about how much, I wanna be moved inside the store and leave the parking lot behind. Well.. I may finally get my shot..

I was approached with not 1 but 2 offers today to work in different dept.'s.

1 of them is in produce, the other 1 is in the meat dept. Both managers love my work ethic and would love to see me moved inside the store. Both possibilities still need to get through the "red tape" before they become official. But both managers wanna press the store mgr to move me.

It is a 2nd shift job {1-10} and my salary would take a nice jump.

I have been told, I have 1 week to decide. That's kinda dangerous because I'll probably change my mind several times lol..

1 girl I work with, said that because of my luck today.. I should buy a lottery ticket for tomorrow night. It's $16 million here tomorrow lol.. I might just do it.. :)

Things are going good. My 1 year anniversary is on Saturday.

Forgive me for not knowing I haven't read the other threads, what do you do in a parking lot at Wal-Mart? At any rate I would definatley snatch up one of the offers you got. Both sound pretty good. Ecspecially if you get a good raise, can't beat that. I think I would go for produce, but it is a personal choice. Well good for you for getting 2 offers in one day, you go girl. Congrats! And it just may be a good day to go out and get a lottery ticket, not a bad idea at all, luck is with you today. :D
Well hope it all works out for you, keep us up to date. I guess I need to go find your Wal-Mart thread.

Sounds great John. I think I'd go after the meat department job. You'd learn the trade of being a butcher while getting paid for it. Being a butcher is a great job and that type of work would look great on a resume. Good luck.

John,

If you enjoy blood, fluid, etc., on your gloves go for the meat dept.

While we're talking meat...I have a cousin who manages a slaughterhouse in OH and I made a mistake of wanting a tour of it several years ago!

Otherwise, produce would look just as nice on your resume! :) Getting to put out things like Bok-Choy, Plantains, etc. :)
