Everyone from time to time needs to be told just how much they are appreciated and cared for, right??? I know I do so.........."Thanks" for being such a great, great bunch of folks. It's funny, I'm closer to a lot of you than I am with people I see everyday. As it's been said time and time again, we hide behind the monitor but yet we really don't, does that make sense??? Anywho, Thanks again, reach around and pat yourselfs on the back would ya??

Again...I wish, just ONCE, to meet you and any munber of friends I've made here (and on THAT Board) over the past few years.
I'm sure the "Muttley Crew" would LOVE to meet Annabelle (she be a ho'), too...she just got her yearly checkup, she's put on almost 2 lbs, and she's been fluffed, primped up, clipped and FDS'd, and is now sporting a red and white "I LOVE YOU" bow on her topknot..."Lady Astor's Pet $#!+" rides again!

Hey Dennis...no promises...but I will likely be making a trip to the Snowflake mill later this summer or early fall. If I do...I will definitely make sure to take the time to stop in and sit on the real porch!!!

I echo everyone's sentiments here. I just wish my family and friends better understood this relationship we have. When people hear of an internet friendship, flags go up ... How can it be a real friendship when you've never met? And what if they want to ... *gulp* ... meet???? Well, I can say that I know many of you more intimately than some of my face to face friends, and I often prefer to come here. It reminds me of Cheers ... where everybody knows your (nick) name.

Yeah, our glue is weather, but if it was only about that, we probably wouldn't be here every chance we get. (even at 1am. Go to bed isobar!)
It would be a privilege to meet any of you in person. I hope we can someday.

What a nice thread Dennis! You are such a good friend to us all, always a kind word here and there for someone who needs it, kicking the prayer warriers into high gear when needed, and telling it like it is too!!! For all that, we can count on you to do!
I really do treasure my wx friends too - it's just so nice to find caring people on the Internet. Who would have ever thought that was possible? My mom doesn't own a computer, is not even good with a VCR (!) so she is very skeptical when it comes to the Internet. I've shared with her I've been emailing back and forth with good friends I've met on wx boards and she is so shocked! "Mary, oh Mary, don't give out your email address!!!" That sort of reaction. Now I've just learned to not tell her much! And I do have to add it does help to say most of us met thru TWC chat room or boards. When you say those magic words - TWC - suddenly you're all good people! (Isn't that sad now, considerly the state of things over there?). So I still fling that TWC label around a bit - helps, otherwise I do think my family and friends would think I'm conversing with a bunch of storm chasers (some watched the Perfect Storm). And then, oh then, I want to say - what is so worrisome about a bunch of rowdy storm chasers? At least they've found their passion in life. So in a very wordy way Dennis I can well relate to how appreciate you feel towards all of us. I feel the same exact way - I value ALL of your friendships!!!
I will finish with a phrase I've said to Karan......
can you all "feel the love"?!!!! LOL
______
PS - always a PS......agree with you Bill, it would be nice to meet some if not all of you. I know it's comforting hiding behind this pc screen/moniker but in reality, I think we'd be the way we're portraying ourselves here. I know I'd be the same - what you see here, is what you'd get in person! Now Bill........here comes a friendly nudge......SEND IN YOUR PICTURE!

I am glad to have gotten to know something about each and every one of you. This is definitely a wonderful place to chat about weather, and anything else on our minds.

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said so if I sound repetitive I apologize. I just want you to know Dennis how much I enjoy reading your posts (almost) everyday. I seem to know ya'll and connect with you though we have never met in person. Like Mary said... I am the same in person, or on the boards.
Dennis... you deserve a pat on the back yourself. Well... now since I have read all this warm and fuzzy stuff, how about a ((Group hug))?
